Our story - why Ninebark?
Ninebark is a flowering shrub native to Minnesota, a stable and healthy plant that symbolizes harmony and love. It gets its name from its unique exfoliating bark, which peels back in thin, colorful layers as its branches mature. A member of the rose family, it also provides an ideal nesting place for songbirds.
Ninebark Ensemble seeks to share genuine and thoughtful performances and educational outreach with our audiences. We approach classic masterpieces and emerging works with intentionality and enthusiasm. Chamber music can describe ideas and a myriad of emotions that fall outside of language and we hope to offer those experiences to our listeners each time we perform.
Ninebark Ensemble brings together musicians with decades of experience playing orchestral, solo, and chamber music at the highest level. We have each taught students from beginners to at the collegiate level and bring our authentic selves to our educational engagements.
